Worcester Medals

We were honoured to have been selected to redesign and build the new e-commerce website for Worcestershire Medal Service.

As medallists to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and manufacturers/suppliers of all kinds of medals and insignia to governments around the world, our client required a highly professional, informative and robust solution.

For many new customers, sourcing the right medal and its corresponding ribbon is not a straightforward process - there are countless orders, campaigns, and awards - and sometimes multiple options for how the medal is supplied. Our task, therefore, was to create a site that not only looks good and promotes the client’s key services, but is extremely user-friendly; guiding the customer smoothly through the product selection and buying process.

We designed an elegant and relatively formal website that reflects the prestigious standing of the company and the dignified nature of the subject matter. We used a simple, low-key colour scheme with monochrome images, complementing the existing brand identity and helping to showcase the medals and the often brightly coloured ribbons.

The site is maintained via a complex administration system that was specifically tailored to our client's needs - supporting multiple customer groups, product variables, and a global sales and delivery system - all coded by our in-house web developers.

We have enjoyed the challenge of building this expansive online catalogue which is likely to grow and evolve to meet the needs of Worcestershire Medal Service and their customers’ requirements.
